There are hurricanes and then there are HURRICANES!
Most of you have heard of the hurricane with the interesting name that is presently raging across the American South. This city Somewhere in Asia lost it's own, special hurricane this week. We gathered to say good-bye (and you know how I love to say good-bye) at a restaurant with another great name: The Monsoon. I have been known to call her "the tsunami that hit Y.", because she came ashore sometime last spring, and the town was turned upside down. Everyone has an opinion about this outspoken gal who speaks her mind and doesn't much care about what others think of her. An independent thinker, she brought energy and maelstroms to this sleepy little city. Now that she's gone, we'll return to our regular ways. Boring Fridays. Predictable parties. Who, pray tell, will everyone TALK about? :-) So here's to you, Hurricane. Good luck in your school, London School of Economics or SOAS, whichever you choose. We'll miss the devastation. The storms. The high winds.
